Kootenay Christian Academy is on the brink of a transformative journey to meet the growing educational needs of our students and families. As our student population continues to expand, we are excited to announce a bold and strategic plan to acquire a portion of the Cranbrook Alliance Church building, which will be renovated and expanded to serve as the next chapter in the evolution of our school.
This vision is driven by our commitment to providing exceptional, Christ-centered education in a learning environment that nurtures students’ academic, social, and spiritual growth. With God’s guidance and the support of our dedicated community, we seek to create a modern, unified campus that can accommodate our current students while preparing us to grow for generations to come.
A Hub of Innovation and Community
The renovations and additions to the Cranbrook Alliance Church building will provide KCA with the infrastructure needed to meet our expanding needs. The key features of the plan include:
Classroom Expansion: New classrooms designed to allow for growth in each grade level, ensuring that we can accommodate multiple classes per grade as enrollment increases.
Improved Common and Office Spaces: New and redesigned spaces will provide staff with the tools and environment to better serve our students and foster a collaborative culture of excellence.
A High School-Sized Gymnasium: A large gymnasium will enhance our physical education program, support extracurricular activities, and provide an inclusive space for sports, assemblies, and community events.
Learning Commons: A dedicated learning commons and library will provide the resources necessary to support our entire student body, creating a space for research, reading, and creativity for all grades.
No Portable Classrooms: The addition of these classrooms within the main building will remove the need for multiple portables, centralizing all classrooms into one cohesive, easily accessible location.
Repurposing of Portables: The newer portables will be repurposed for specialized learning environments, enhancing our ability to serve diverse student needs.
The New School Vision
This multi-phase project is designed to serve KCA’s expanding student body and provide a flexible, state-of-the-art learning environment. The total estimated fundraising goal for this capital project is $10,000,000.
Our Community’s Role in This Vision
The success of this initiative depends on the support of our entire KCA community. We invite current families, alumni, local businesses, and community members—both near and far—to join us in this exciting campaign to build a brighter future for Kootenay Christian Academy.
We are reaching out to local and national businesses who share in our values and desire to support the educational growth of our region. By partnering with us, you will play a direct role in shaping the future of students and families in Cranbrook and the surrounding areas.
Why Support This Campaign?
- Strengthening Our Community: With this expansion, we will be able to offer families in Cranbrook and the surrounding areas the opportunity for a Christ-centered, biblically directed education for their children, from preschool through to high school.
- A Secure, Respectful Learning Environment: This project ensures that KCA remains a safe, dynamic place where students are challenged to explore God, His Creation, and their unique place in it.
- Sustaining Long-Term Growth: This is not just an investment in physical infrastructure; it’s an investment in the future of our school community, enabling us to serve more students and their families for many years to come.
